From the Start
Hobby Sakura emerged around late 2021 from Guangzhou's Huangpu District and made its first product announcements in 2022. Within a year, they had secured a major share of the NIKKE figure market. The pitch that won it: fully realized 3D prototypes for multiple NIKKE characters presented simultaneously. SHIFT UP's global account later described them as "a well-known figurine and merchandise company" when announcing a Stellar Blade collaboration.
The company operates through several internal branches (Hsk Project, Hso-toys, StellarBlade SAC Series), and some NIKKE work is co-branded with GNFTOYZ.
NIKKE at 1/4 Scale
NIKKE figures form the center of the catalog. The lead sculptor has an automotive prototype modeling background, and a multi-layered painting technique on skin simulates translucency adapted from automotive dashboard materials. Sculptor Yoo Dyth has publicly confirmed working on the Dorothy NIKKE 1/7 via ArtStation. These are large statement pieces in the premium price range.
Two original character series outside NIKKE are active: Lost: Order and SAKURA PETITE. The latter is a line of small, stylized figures with 10+ products. Partnerships with illustrators Rosuuri, CheLA77, Sue, and Raita broaden the creative range. SAKURA PETITE offers a lower-cost way to try the brand before committing to a larger figure.
What Buyers Can Expect
Hobby Sakura has built an extensive NIKKE lineup. Its 1/4 scale pieces are display centerpieces, and the automotive-influenced sculpting emphasizes smooth surfaces and layered skin paint.
Pre-orders are available through the retailer AmiAmi. Collector reception has been consistently positive, and the automotive-influenced skin painting holds up across multiple releases rather than peaking with a single showcase piece. If the larger figures are too expensive, the small, stylized SAKURA PETITE line provides a lower-cost alternative.
