A washstand display made their name

Selfie Girl gives KAWA DESIGN a clear opening statement. Hobby Search records the 1/6 standard edition at about 29 cm tall with a ¥6,160 ($40 USD) list price and an early September 2025 release. The ¥7,700 ($50 USD) deluxe edition adds a washstand about 32 cm tall, turning a mirror-shot illustration into a small domestic scene. The room around the character carries nearly as much visual weight as the character herself.

Two other 2025 releases develop that instinct without repeating the bathroom setup. Bunny Girl Hina is about 30 cm at 1/4 scale, a height that fits a compact seated pose. Maid Nya-Hime Mao Ke Ke Deluxe is the shortest of the three at about 11.5 cm, and it is still 1/6 scale. She comes with a cake and cleaning props. KAWA DESIGN's most legible identity is not one costume or scale. It is the use of pose and nearby objects to make an illustration feel like a moment already in progress.

Game licenses enter the same frame

Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium Helen (DP-12) Starlit Waltz ver. is listed as a 28 cm 1/6 PVC and ABS figure, while Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Drake: Villain Racer carries a ¥19,800 ($130 USD) deluxe list price in Japan. Those projects move KAWA DESIGN above the ¥6,160 ($40 USD) starting point of Selfie Girl without abandoning the brand's preference for 1/6 presentation. For collectors following those games, the appeal is access to named characters through a maker whose original catalog already treats setting as part of the composition.

The company record is younger and thinner than the product pages. An official Weibo post names the company's Chinese legal entity, 东莞市咔哇文创有限公司, and shows the account active by October 2024. Hpoi lists a shortened form of the same name, 咔哇文创, as a verified official account. Hobby Search and BigBadToyStore provide current retail access, but the earliest Japanese release located in the reviewed sources is still September 2025. An in-stock figure offers the clearest introduction today. Preorder buyers may want to compare final-product photos for each release and treat dates as estimates.

Public sources do not yet supply a formal founding date, leadership history, or studio profile. What they do supply is a catalog with a recognizable point of view: not yet a year of Japanese retail, and already a house habit of giving each character a scene to stand in.
