Touhou FumoFumo started before Gift's figure catalog

Gift's defining product arrived before its first painted PVC figure. Its plush brand began in 2007, and Touhou FumoFumo opened with FumoFumo Reimu in August 2008. The line reached fifteen years in 2023, and Gift's 2026 pages still add and reissue Touhou characters. This continuity is the clearest way to understand Gift today: figures were an important chapter, while plush became the long-running center of the catalog.

Current FumoFumo is not one fixed size. A 20 cm Touhou Yuyuko reissue is ¥6,600 ($45 USD), while the 40 cm Mokou is scheduled for November 2026 at ¥17,600 ($115 USD). Gift pushed the format to 70 cm with Gakuen Idolmaster's Saki Hanami deka fumo at ¥66,000 ($440 USD). The same character-focused plush format can now fill a desk, a shelf, or much of a chair.

Painted PVC figures and Nendoroids from 2009 to 2016

Gift opened its painted PVC line in January 2009 with Fate/stay night Saber at ¥7,800 ($50 USD). The 1/8 scale release, meaning roughly one eighth of the character's implied full size, stands about 18 cm tall and includes a swappable head in its first production run. A 1/5 Yoko from Gurren Lagann followed in April at ¥9,240 ($60 USD). Those first releases established a sculptor-led catalog rather than a house look repeated across every character.

Fate stayed central through Matou Sakura: Makiri's Cup and Saber Lily, both 1/8 scale figures priced at ¥9,800 ($65 USD). Gift then moved through Madoka Magica with the 2013 Homura Akemi and through Minami-ke with Nendoroid Haruka Minami. A Nendoroid is a roughly 10 cm articulated figure with interchangeable faces and accessories. Haruka cost ¥3,800 ($25 USD) and came with school and cooking parts, including an apron body, knife, and frying pan.

The catalog also grew physically. Haganai's Sena Kashiwazaki was a 37 cm, 1/4 scale swimsuit figure priced at ¥13,000 before tax ($85 USD), while the Super Sonico Tiger Parka release returned to 1/8 scale at ¥9,800 before tax ($65 USD). Gift's official figure archive ends in May 2016 with a 38 cm Signum swimsuit figure at ¥18,333 before tax ($120 USD). The changing scales, named sculptors, and varied licenses make this era rewarding to browse character by character.

The credits explain why some databases blur Gift and Good Smile Company. The 2009 Saber names Good Smile Company as publisher and Gift as seller. Homura, Sena, and Haruka instead name Gift as publisher or releaser and Good Smile Company as seller or distributor. Gift deserves its own manufacturer record, even when Good Smile handled sales or distribution.

Gift, AniGift, and Gift+ are different brands

This Gift is 株式会社Gift, a company founded in December 2007 and based in Sumida-ku, Tokyo. AniGift maintains a separate website and its own scale-figure catalog. Gift+ is a Myethos product line, as shown by a Union Creative listing that names Myethos as the manufacturer. Collectors searching any of these names should keep the three records separate.

Buying Gift figures and plush in 2026

A current 20 cm FumoFumo is the clearest first purchase for someone interested in Gift as it operates now. The 2026 Yuyuko reissue is ¥6,600 ($45 USD), and its official page directs international shoppers to Gift's English-language AmiAmi branch. Gift also says these products may appear at domestic and overseas events. Larger FumoFumo releases offer the same character-first idea, but their 40 cm and 70 cm sizes deserve a measurement before ordering.

The painted figures require a different kind of shopping. Solaris maintains a worldwide-shipping listing for Gift's 2013 Homura, showing how older releases surface through specialist stores. Check photographs of the exact copy for age-related wear, especially on figures that have spent more than a decade in storage or display.
