A first figure with 51 voice tracks

GOLDENHEAD opened with a figure that came with its own 12-minute audio companion. On April 11, 2022, Tokyo figure producer Thousand announced the brand and its first project: Kinako Good Morning Ver., a 1/6 scale figure, roughly one sixth of the character's intended size, from illustrator Shimahara's My Cat Is a Kawaii Girl. The June 2023 release included a download card for 51 situation-voice tracks performed by Misaki Kuno, with spatial audio recommended for headphones.

The launch turned Thousand's work producing figures for client companies into a label sold under its own name. In May 2023, after the first anniversary, Thousand changed the name from GOLDENHEAD to GOLDENHEAD PLUS and said future products and event displays would use the new name. Older GOLDENHEAD packaging and newer GOLDENHEAD PLUS listings therefore belong to one continuous brand.

Kinako expands into three figure formats

Kinako remained the connecting character as the catalog widened. Good Morning Ver. arrived in 2023 at ¥21,780 ($145 USD), and the second 1/6 figure, Play With Ver., followed in May 2026 at the same price. Between them, the 15 cm Palette Dress-Up Collection produced Tora Kinako, Present Kinako, and Nyang Fu Kinako at ¥7,997-¥8,800 ($55-$60 USD).

Nendoroid Kinako added a third format in June 2026. A Nendoroid is Good Smile Company's small articulated chibi figure, with a large head and compact body. This ¥7,700 ($50 USD) release lists GOLDENHEAD PLUS as manufacturer, Thousand as sculptor, Nendoron for production cooperation, and Good Smile Company as distributor.

The smaller figures keep some product-specific play. Present Kinako's gift-box base can store small objects, while Nendoroid Kinako is articulated and includes a stand. Kinako gives buyers a choice between a full-size fixed-pose display, a compact Palette figure, and an articulated chibi without leaving the same character.

Blue Archive, Azur Lane, and SNK enlarge the catalog

Licensed game figures quickly became a second pillar. The 2023 Blue Archive Arona is a 1/7 scale painted PVC and ABS figure priced at ¥23,000 ($155 USD). Water-like blue hair curves around a rifle-shaped umbrella, down to its whale keychain. Azur Lane reached the opposite end of the verified price ladder with the 30 cm Illustrious µ at ¥48,400 ($325 USD).

The catalog also makes room for unusual size choices. High School DxD HERO Rias Gremory Race Queen Ver. uses 1/3.5 scale and stands about 45 cm tall including its base. Its tax-inclusive price is ¥34,980 ($235 USD).

In 2026, Fighting Girls Collection moved the brand into SNK characters through new illustrations by hncl. The first two 1/7 figures are Kula Diamond at ¥19,910 ($135 USD), scheduled for October, and The King of Fighters XV Mai Shiranui at ¥24,200 ($160 USD), scheduled for December. A separate Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Mai Shiranui is scheduled for October at ¥23,100 ($155 USD), while Blue Archive continues with Serika Swimsuit in December at ¥19,965 ($135 USD).

Buying GOLDENHEAD PLUS in 2026

The verified Japanese price ladder starts with Nendoroid Kinako at ¥7,700 ($50 USD) and the Palette figures at ¥7,997-¥8,800 ($55-$60 USD). Named scale examples rise through Kula Diamond at ¥19,910 ($135 USD), Kinako at ¥21,780 ($145 USD), Arona at ¥23,000 ($155 USD), Rias Gremory at ¥34,980 ($235 USD), and Illustrious µ at ¥48,400 ($325 USD). Palette is the direct starting point for a compact fixed-pose figure, while the 1/6 and 1/3.5 releases require more shelf space.

Thousand entered the Transaction corporate group in March 2026 after Transaction acquired all of its shares. GOLDENHEAD PLUS enters that new chapter with three figure formats, recurring Kinako releases, and licensed products scheduled through December 2026.
