The Man Who Created Nendoroid, on His Own
Tsuyoshi Oda created Good Smile Company's small, poseable Nendoroid figure line, then left because he felt the industry was losing its 'love' for figure-making. At his first appearance with Stronger at the Wonder Festival figure convention, he had no business cards, and it was snowing. He still pours silicone into molds himself and does his own corporate taxes. Stronger Co., Ltd. was established February 10, 2014. Earlier, under the alias 'Oda-P,' Oda began developing Nendoroid at Wonder Festival 2006. The line later grew to thousands of releases across anime, games, and popular culture.
Stronger is headquartered in Taito-ku, Tokyo, and operates as a one-person-founded studio that has grown into a respected manufacturer while keeping the hands-on approach that motivated its creation. The company remains independent with no parent conglomerate.
Fate, Vocaloid, and a Deliberate Release Pace
Stronger produces premium display figures across several major franchises. Its Fate and TYPE-MOON work draws on Oda's long history in figure making. The Vocaloid Hanairogoromo series, featuring Hatsune Miku in traditional Japanese aesthetics, produced one of Stronger's most-ordered figures. Uma Musume Pretty Derby and Madoka Magica round out a deliberately small catalog.
The Love Live! franchise has also been a strong presence in Stronger's lineup. Oda directly adjusts proportions and poses during figure development.
Strong Ratings, Few Second Production Batches
Stronger releases regularly land at the upper end of MyFigureCollection user ratings. The Hatsune Miku Hanairogoromo series and Uma Musume releases have held their value because production batches are sized to Oda's capacity, and second batches are uncommon.
