A 6,600 Yen Feature Test

KoiKoi's first announced figure, -蝶- Cinnamon, opened for preorder on April 9, 2024. The 1/6 scale PVC and ABS figure measured approximately 300 mm with its base and carried a tax-included reference price of 6,600 yen (about $45 USD). Sculptor CKB and painter Konetako gave the original cat-eared character two expressions, while temperature-responsive paint made a magenta costume piece turn translucent when warmed by a finger.

Later releases kept the price approachable while changing the display trick. Shiori Racing-Swimsuit Maid cost 8,980 yen (about $60 USD) and included a replacement face with eyes designed to follow the viewer. Elle reached 9,900 yen (about $65 USD) with fabric tights instead of a painted simulation. Receptionist Girl used the same 9,900 yen reference price and added a movable face assembly, letting the collector adjust the direction and nuance of her gaze.

Across these products, optional presentation does more work than elaborate scenery. KoiKoi puts its feature budget into the figure itself, giving a collector another expression, surface, or viewing angle without leaving the accessible end of the scale-figure market.

Oami Handles the Route After Purchase

The companies named on the box serve different roles. Animate identifies KoiKoi as Elle's releasing label and Oami Corporation as its sales distributor. Oami's July 2025 support notice also lists KoiKoi among the brands it assists when Oami is named as distributor, including exchanges for initial defects and missing parts. Returns and refunds remain the retailer's responsibility.

For buyers, that support route depends on the named distributor. Check the product listing or package for the named distributor, inspect attachment points and movable pieces soon after delivery, and use final owner photographs when judging a specific release. The label is especially interesting for collectors who want large original-character figures with playful display options, but its short production record still favors release-by-release decisions over a broad quality verdict.
