Sushing

Poseable characters, kit parts, and creature bases share one 1/12 world.

TL;DR

  • Sushing is the Meifa group sibling of Solarain that specializes in articulated figures.
  • Sniper Leoni opened the public catalog in November 2024 with painted articulation, model kit parts, KACHA joints, and a base that stores accessories.
  • The catalog now covers the four-member BUNNY RAPID ACTION SQUAD, the Combat Priestess sisters, and articulated UBC creature bases.
  • Full products list from ¥6,600 to ¥14,960 (about $45 to $100 USD), with Good Smile handling distribution rather than manufacturing.

A 1/12 figure line with model kit parts

Sushing sells a display base that behaves like a monster. UBC-404 is a nest of soft, poseable tentacles presented through a fictional containment incident report. Its Adult version can hold six support tentacles and six thinner intertwining tentacles, turning the space around a figure into part of the scene. That idea captures Sushing neatly: the figure, its equipment, and its surroundings are designed to work together.

The brand belongs to the Meifa group beside Solarain, which Figurepedia covers separately. Meifa describes Sushing as a specialist in articulated figures that combines design and development while working with multiple materials. Good Smile gives Sushing the manufacturer, sculptor, and paintwork credits on its product pages. Good Smile is the distributor, not the parent or maker.

Sushing's public retail trail begins on November 12, 2024, when Sniper Leoni opened for preorder at ¥8,100 (about $55 USD) with an August 2025 shipping date. Good Smile introduced the product as the first entry in a new action figure and plastic kit series. In this format, the character body arrives painted and poseable while selected equipment parts require assembly. A 1/12 figure is roughly one twelfth of a character's full height, a compact format that lets figures and accessories share the same display space.

The Bunny Rapid Action Squad defines Sushing

Sniper Leoni established the working formula. Her PVC, ABS, and POM body uses Sushing's KACHA joints, and the display base stores weapons and interchangeable parts. The next three squad members keep the same ¥8,100 (about $55 USD) list price: Guardian Erena adds a shield and axe, Commando Belka leads the team, and Attacker Runa is the fourth member. Each is a painted 1/12 articulated figure with some assembly-ready plastic parts.

The squad is more than a row of matching costumes. Alternate faces for Erena, Belka, and Runa, plus interchangeable hands for all four, let the squad move between combat poses and quieter expressions. The storage bases also solve a familiar action-figure problem by giving loose accessories a place to go. This is Sushing's strongest design idea, because play value and shelf organization come from the same piece.

Release status matters when shopping. Leoni was listed for August 2025 shipping, and Erena was scheduled to ship on February 25, 2026. Good Smile moved Belka from July to August, while Runa's product page listed August 2026 shipping. Buyers outside Japan can use the international partner-shop route linked on Good Smile's listings, but should still check the current status of the individual figure.

Creature bases and cloth outfits widen the catalog

The Sushing Articulated Base Series turns scenery into another poseable subject. UBC-404 Larva launched at ¥6,600 (about $45 USD), while the larger Adult version cost ¥9,900 (about $65 USD). Both use soft PVC tentacles that can be rearranged around other figures. UBC-087 follows with a plant-like design, a height of about 20 cm, and a ¥14,960 (about $100 USD) price for March 2027 shipping.

Combat Priestess moves in a different direction without leaving the 1/12 system. Sakura Uefuji and Kikyou Uefuji are painted articulated figures with real cloth outfits, dedicated stands, and PVC, ABS, and POM bodies. Each lists at ¥10,450 (about $70 USD) for November 2026 shipping. Their shrine maiden clothing and sword or naginata replace the squad's tactical equipment, showing that Sushing can carry the same joint system into a softer silhouette.

The supporting products make the catalog feel connected. A Fluffy Pajamas Set gives the squad a separate cloth costume, while ¥1,980 (about $15 USD) long tentacle parts extend UBC-404 from the standard length to 23 cm. These are optional accessories rather than complete figures, but they clarify the larger plan: Sushing is building a modular 1/12 collection rather than a sequence of isolated releases.

What to buy first and what comes next

Sniper Leoni is the clearest starting point because she contains the complete original idea: painted articulation, a small amount of assembly, KACHA joints, multiple expressions, weapons, and the storage base. Guardian Erena was scheduled to ship on February 25, 2026. Collectors who prefer fabric clothing can look toward Sakura or Kikyou, but their November 2026 dates mean production copies were not yet available at this review point.

The main caution is timing, not a settled quality verdict. Belka moved through several announced shipping windows before Good Smile shifted the figure to August 2026. Sushing's shipped catalog is still too young for a broad claim about long-term joint durability or finish consistency, so completed owner photos remain more useful than a brand-wide label.

The next phase is beginning to include licensed characters. At Good Smile Fest 2026, Hobby Watch documented a Sushing prototype based on Leva's Hot Exercise appearance from Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, alongside more original Sushing projects. A displayed prototype is not a retail release, but it points toward a catalog that can apply Sushing's 1/12 system beyond its own cast. The appeal is already clear: these figures are meant to share clothes, equipment, creatures, and space, so each release can add possibilities to the ones already on the shelf.
